Last Updated: January 23, 2026

[IMPORTANT NOTICE]

These UGREEN NAS Biometric Login Terms (the "Terms") apply to the biometric-based login services (the "Services") provided by UGREEN (including AMERICA UGREEN LIMITED, UGREEN GROUP LIMITED, HONG KONG UGREEN LIMITED, UGREEN GROUP (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD., and UGREEN GROUP GMBH), (collectively referred to as "UGREEN", "we", "us", or "our"), to users of the Services (the "Users" or "you"). Before enabling or using the Services, please read and thoroughly understand all clauses herein, paying particular attention to the terms highlighted in bold. If you have any questions regarding the Terms, please contact us at nascss@gmail.com.

Article 1: Definitions

1.1 Biometric Features: unique physiological characteristics that can distinguish an individual natural person, such as facial or fingerprint characteristics, which enable personal identity recognition.

1.2 Biometric Authentication Service: a technical service that allows users, on a mobile device, to authenticate their identity and obtain a login token for this application by using the device’s built-in biometric authentication features instead of a traditional password.

1.3 Supported Types: the Services currently support facial recognition and fingerprint recognition as authentication methods.

Article 2: Biometric Authentication Service Function

2.1 After completing your initial login using your account and password, you may choose to enable the Services.

2.2 You understand that the collection, storage, and comparison of your biometric features are performed entirely by your terminal device or its operating system. We do not collect or store your biometric information, such as facial photos or fingerprint images.

2.3 To ensure the security of your account, please enable the Services only on trusted devices with a reliable system environment. If you have any concerns regarding the Services, we recommend using passwords or other traditional authentication methods.

2.4 Since the biometric authentication function is based on your terminal device, please ensure the security of your device. Any login performed through your device using the corresponding biometric information shall be deemed your own action. Furthermore, for your account security, please ensure that only your own biometric features are stored on the device before enabling biometric login. If the device is shared by multiple people and contains biometric information from others, they may bypass the password and access your account directly. If you choose to enable the Services despite being aware of the aforementioned circumstances, you shall personally bear all risks and losses resulting from any unauthorized login or unlocking of your account.

Article 3: Your Rights

3.1 Enabling and Disabling:

● You may choose to enable the Services on the notification page displayed after a successful login.

● You may independently enable or disable this function at any time via the "Settings - Local Account" menu.

3.2 Login Method Switching: You may independently switch your login method on the login page based on your needs. If you do not wish to use biometric login or are unable to use it, you may switch to an alternative login method.

3.3 Authentication Failure: To ensure your account security, if biometric authentication fails consecutively and reaches the system-defined limit, the system will suspend this authentication method and display an error message. You may follow the system notifications to retry or switch to a different login method.

Article 4: Miscellaneous

4.1 To optimize user experience and improve our services, we may carry out product updates, feature iterations, and rule adjustments so the Terms will be revised accordingly.

4.2 If we make material changes to the Terms, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date, posting a notice within the Services, or providing notification as required by applicable laws. The revised terms shall officially take effect from the effective date specified in such notification.

4.3 If you cannot accept the revised terms, you may stop using the Services.

4.4 In the event of possible variations across the translated versions (Korean, Japanese, and German), the English version shall prevail.
